Nabolagsprosjektet Kulturstasjoner i samarbeid med Festspill-Kollektivet og kordirigent Ruth Nonseid. Medvirkende er den frivillige organisasjonen Papillon og koret Oktavia.
Culture Stop,- a neighbourhood project, which in 2018 is cooperating with Festspillkollektivet and choir conductor Ruth Nonseid. Other participants are the NGO Papillon, and the Oktavia choir.
Since 2012 I´ve organized visits between neighbors that didn´t previously know each other. They meet in each others homes, tell each other stories, eat and discuss together.
The story telling is based on the theme “A moment that moved me”. Between 6-15 people are present at each gathering and the composition of the groups is different each time. One person presents a story that he or she has prepared. We eat a meal together and we discuss one theme or dilemma that was evident in the story. New people regularly join the list of people who are interested in the project. Staging the gatherings in people’s homes also contributes an anthropological setting.
We start the evening with making food together.
Then Shahnaz told her personal story about a love story which started thirty years earlier in Bangladesh.
We served ourselves from the delicious dishes, and went into groups of eight, to eat and share short personal storys, based on the words Joy, Crush, Friendship or music.
Then choir director Ruth Nonseid asked us to pick a word or sentence from each group, in a chosen language.
