Min tanke er fri; Migrant Car av Soups&Stories og Bergen Arawelo
The dialogue art project Soups&Stories are invited to join the Migrant Car, by Robert E. D’Souza, Oslo biennalen, while it is standing outside Kunsthall 314. Soups&Stories have clubbed together with the Eritrean Women’s Union and the organization Bergen Arawelo, and have named their event MIN TANKE ER FRI /'MY THOUGHTS ARE FREE' and the purpose is to exchange thoughts on important questions of our time.
The artists from the art project Soups&Stories and founders and members of Bergen Arawelo saw Migrant Car as an opportunity to meet and get to know each other across social groups in Bergen. We met on a cold and clear October Saturday in front of Kunsthall 3,14 to interact and activate Migrant Car, then afterward to gather inside to talk and eat.

From Kunsthall 3,14 we decided to drag the Car across pedestrian and trafficked streets toward the open public space in Bergen called the Torgallmenning. After a break there, we took the car all the way to the next station for Migrant Car, Bergen Domkirke.
Response
We received a lot of smiles and curiosity from pedestrians.
The trip around the city awaked feelings of joy, togetherness, and dread (because of traffic).
Arriving at Bergen Domkirke.
Sharing personal stories
Everyone then gathered in the quarters of Bergen Arawelo to talk and eat. We formed groups of three and shared personal stories about what questions or cause we at the present time are engaged in or occupied with. We ended the day by sharing an extraordinary meal.
